Yin Yoga is a form of yoga that is practised slowly, with poses held for minutes rather than seconds.
Known as “the quiet yoga”, Yin yoga focuses attention on our deeper connective tissue and joints, rather than just the muscles exercised in more dynamic forms of yoga.
We do all the postures either sitting or lying down. Don’t be deceived though – it’s challenging, but completely different way to more dynamic styles. Unlike our Rocket and Ashtanga classes, you don’t have to be particularly fit to do it - everyone is welcome, from complete beginner to experienced yogi!
This 60-minute class will take you through a brief yang warm up before settling into the yin. We will end with a period of relaxation in the form of a short yoga nidra - a form of deep relaxation that will set you up nicely for a perfect night's rest.
This class is conducted online via the video conferencing platform Zoom. It's super-easy to use - with or without the dedicated app. All you need is access to the web and internet connection, then you're good to go! You can opt to be seen by the teacher and other class members or not. If you want to be seen (for feedback on your practice), you'll also need a computer or device with a camera attached.
There will be a maximum of just 10 people in this class, allowing us to give each of you individual attention.
N.B Pre-booking is essential for this class. Please note that payments/credits used on reservations where you fail to attend or cancel with less than 10 hours notice are non-refundable, as it is unlikely that we will be able to fill the space at that late stage. Thank you for your understanding.
